The Russian Museum is continuing its display of modern Russian photography. The project began in 2009 at the "1 Photobiennale of the Russian Museum". The publication produced for the "2 Photobiennale of Modern Photography" comprises 760 works by 308 photographers in 67 localities of the Russian Federation. It consists of an album section and an illustrated catalogue. The photographs presented have been notionally divided into nine thematic groups: "Faces", "Landscape", "Still-Life", "Beauty of the Body", "City", "Believers", "Everyday Life" and "Stage", which reflect various aspects of life, and "Fantasy" section that contains works in which the most important feature is images created by various means, such as the interplay of lines and highlights, or special image-processing and printing methods.
