Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 - 1930) was an English writer best known for his detective stories about Sherlock Holmes. "Micah Clarke" is a historical adventure novel set in the times of Monmouth Rebellion in England. The book follows the story of an extraordinary man, who starts as a romantic adventurer, but living a difficult life, ends up as a hardheaded soldier of fortune.
